Practical AI · Small business focus · Canadian support · Plain-English advice

You know AI could help. The hard part is knowing where.

Which tasks are worth automating? Which tools are worth paying for? What should stay human? We review the work your team repeats and recommend the changes worth making.

  1. Step 1

    Review your business

We look at your current tools, recurring tasks, bottlenecks and priorities.

  2. Step 2

    Choose useful opportunities

We weigh potential savings against setup effort, ongoing costs and the human oversight each workflow needs.

  3. Step 3

    Get your action plan

You receive recommended next steps, from simple improvements to larger automations. We confirm the assessment scope up front.

What could AI help with?

Sales & customer enquiries

Respond sooner and keep follow-ups moving.

  • Summarize and organize new leads
  • Draft replies, proposals and follow-up messages
  • Route enquiries and create follow-up reminders

Everyday admin

Spend less time repeating the same tasks.

  • Draft routine emails and summarize documents
  • Reduce repeated data entry between systems
  • Create reusable checklists and procedures

Business operations

Make the handoffs between people and tools easier.

  • Connect existing software and recurring workflows
  • Create internal assistants for common questions
  • Prepare summaries and reports for human review

Illustrative example · contractor lead follow-up

A new lead, with less repetitive work.

Before

The owner reads the enquiry, writes a reply, enters the lead in a spreadsheet, schedules a follow-up and starts a proposal. Reminders depend on remembering to send them.

With AI and automation

The enquiry is summarized, a lead record is created, a reply and proposal draft are prepared, and follow-up reminders are scheduled. The owner reviews the drafts, confirms the price and approves what goes to the customer.

Sample recommendation: lead follow-up

Potential benefit
Less manual admin and more consistent follow-up
Setup effort
Moderate: connect the lead form, email and lead records
Ongoing cost
Depends on the tools and message volume
Human review
Approve customer-facing replies and proposals

Illustrative sample, not a client result. Potential savings would be estimated from your task volume and time per task, with the assumptions explained.

Common questions

Do I need to know anything about AI or already use ChatGPT?

No. We start with how your business works today. We recommend tools only where they fit the work, your team and your budget.

What does the assessment include?

We review your current tools, workflows and priorities, then provide a written, prioritized action plan. Each recommendation explains the potential benefit, setup effort, ongoing tool costs and where human review is needed. We agree on the workflows to review and confirm the scope before you proceed.

What determines the final assessment price?

We confirm the price based on the workflows and tools you want reviewed and the complexity of the work. Your quote sets out what is included and when you will receive your action plan. You approve that scope and price before the assessment starts.

Is implementation included in the assessment price?

No. The assessment gives you a plan. You can act on it yourself or ask Brian to help build and configure the workflows. Implementation is scoped and quoted separately before you approve any work.

Will AI replace my employees?

The goal is to reduce repetitive work and help your team work more effectively. We identify where human judgement, approvals and customer relationships need to stay part of the process.

Do I need to be a bookkeeping client?

No. The AI Business Assessment is available on its own, for small and owner-operated businesses.

Will I need to buy software?

No software purchase is required for the assessment. Some recommendations may involve paid tools or subscriptions; we explain those costs so you can decide before implementing them.
